Why the name Ask Shell!?
Well, whatever job I was doing there was always a common phrase used when something needed to get done! You have guessed it! Ask Shell!​
Businesses choose to work with me because I am flexible, efficient, and easy to work with. By working with me, you get to focus on what really matters, while someone else handles your day-to-day office tasks. ​If I don't know, I will find out!​From general office worker to a senior fee earner with a large volume caseload of legal cases. From a receptionist to court clerk advocating for my clients. My experience is broad and I can share that experience with you!​
How It All Began!
​I started working as a receptionist for a law firm in 1988. Within months I was learning about the firm's computer system (a little antique by today's standards!) to help out when others were away. I moved over time to work as a legal secretary for a partner of the firm. This involved all of the secretarial aspects you can imagine working in a large law firm.​Over the years my quest for knowledge led me to train as a court clerk. What a "baptism of fire" that was sitting before a District Judge and barristers advocating for my clients!​Before long, I was again training to be a fee earner pursuing legal cases for injured clients. Through hard work and dedication I progressed to a senior status dealing with a large volume of legal cases and supervising more junior staff. ​In 2016, after a family bereavement I felt that life needed to be lived and I left my career after much thought.​
Where Ask Shell! Started!​
Although I worked under a few different names, Ask Shell started when I began working with an aesthetic company on a freelance basis dealing with any back office work needing to be done as well as dealing with their social media platforms. Whatever was thrown at me I got the job done.​ By the way, I have just created this website! Today I can share my experience with you to get your tasks done efficiently and to a high standard with the minimum of fuss!
​Its not just about the work I can provide. When we work together you have know we are a good fit. I am straight talking and down to earth. If you can deal with that I am very loyal and extremely friendly and I think rather funny!
